Kia ora my name is Waitangi Kupenga.  In 2016 I had a dream that the the Holy Spirit took me by the hand and led me up and down the streets of Ruatoria. I eventually arrived at a property where there was a blue fire around the boundary of it, and I was cleaning the cobwebs in a big old woolshed. I believed that God was calling me back to my hometown and after much prayer and counsel submitted this to the WBC leadership. I was commissioned in November as a missionary to Ruatoria (East Coast). Since arriving in Ruatoria I have become involved in ‘Bible in Schools’. Rev Pane Kawhia and I both have hearts for the nations and missions and so we meet regularly to wait on God in prayer for this. I have also been supporting the Tairawhiti Christian Freedom Fellowship (established in Oct 2016) to implement fresh vision in terms of prayer, worship, discipleship etc. Thank you very much for your support. I really appreciate the love.

kathleneKia ora! My name is Kathlene. I was born and raised in Auckland and had the privilege of being a part of the WBC community while I was living in Gisborne working at Gisborne Hospital. During my time in Gisborne God led me to be a part of Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in Kona, Hawaii. Since 2015 I have been a full time missionary with YWAM in Hawaii and in Haiti. I was a part of a pioneering team that launched a YWAM base in Cap-Haitien, Haiti where I was located for 2 years. Currently God has called me to be a part of another YWAM ministry, Island Breeze, and we are in the re-pioneering stages of the ministry here in Kona, Hawaii. God has given me a heart for discipleship, to see nations transformed, and cultures redeemed by His love.

Thank you so much for your aroha and support!

NicholasHello! Kumasta po kayo! We are Matt and Cristelle, and this is our son Carson. We both hail from the mighty ‘Naki, but our hearts smile when we think of Turanganui (Gisborne). Matt’s work in Gisborne originally was growing truckloads of watermelons, and Cristelle as a teacher of under 5’s. We love Wainui Beach Church (WBC) and our whanau in God there! God has placed a dream, a calling in us to share Jesus with Filipinos (evangelism), to be part of helping them establish churches and be trained up to teach others Jesus’ words (discipleship/ teaching). We’ll be sent by WBC under the mission organisation OMF. Alongside other preparations for ministry in the Philippines, Matt has undertaken a short- term assistant pastor role in Auckland. Currently we are trusting Jesus for financial support to get to the Philippines. We're excited to be part of what God is doing in the Philippines, and to work with those who have not read the Bible themselves or heard that Jesus wants to be friends with them. Thank you for your encouragement and support!
